HRM Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (JP) Telade IV, The Alara of Ilara Kingdom in Epe Division of Lagos State was born on the 29th of September, 1967 to the family of Late Prince Thompson Olawale Ogunsanwo of Lapeni & Lebe Quarters of the Telade Ruling House in Ibonwon, Epe, Lagos State.

Sequel to the demise of the 54th Alara of Ilara Kingdom, HRM Oba Akeem Okunola Adesanya II in October 2018, he became the Oba-Elect of Ilara Kingdom in October 2019 and was given the Staff of Office by His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, The Executive Governor of Lagos State on the 16th of August 2020 to become the 55th Alara of Ilara Kingdom.

He attended Government College Ketu in Epe Division, Lagos State and graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he obtained his Bachelor of Science (Bsc) Degree in Economics in 1988. He possesses a Master of Science (Msc) Degree in Economics from University of Lagos. His Majesty holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) as well as a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Degrees from the Lagos State University. He also received an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Arts in Public Leadership, Peace and Community Development (honoris causa) from the European-American University in August 2020.

• Fellow, Institute of Chartered Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria, (CFIAR).

• Chartered Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, (CF.PRMP) Ghana.
• Member, Chartered Institute of Directors, Nigeria (MCIoD).

A professionally certified Taxation Expert in Administration and Consulting with over 35 years working experience, he joined the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service in 1991, where he had a distinguished career rising through the ranks and cutting across headship of various Tax Stations, Commissioner for Stamp Duties, Regional Coordinator to group of Tax Stations. Head of High-Net Worth Individuals and Withholding Taxes, two- time Board Secretary of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service.

He was the Regional Coordinator of Lagos Island Regional Office prior to his appointment as the substantive Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service by His Excellency, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, the Executive Governor of Lagos State in 2015. While he was Chairman of LIRS, he introduced innovative ideas to increase Internally Generated Revenue by blocking identified loopholes within the system as well as restructuring Tax Administration in Lagos State.

He retired in 2016 and started his own Practice as the Managing Consultant of William Price Consulting Limited, a Tax Consulting and Financial Management firm in 2017.
