Barbra is a seasoned executive with over 12 years of experience in managing complex corporate, regulatory, data protection, legal, and compliance issues.
Currently, Barbra serves as the Executive Director of the Credit Reference Bureaus Association of Uganda, an umbrella body for licensed Credit Reference Bureaus in Uganda. She is also the Founder and CEO of Wincurve Consult Limited, a consultancy focused on data protection.
Barbra is the pioneer lawyer in the CRB industry and one of the pioneers of establishing judge assistants in Uganda. She is a strong advocate for corporate governance and serves on the Members and Business Development Committee of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda.
Barbra has held key roles with global brands such as Experian and Creditinfo, where she worked as in-house counsel & the Data Protection Officer.
She actively collaborates with regulators, including the Bank of Uganda and PDPO-U to promote corporate governance, compliance, and information security frameworks. Through Wincurve, Barbra seeks to deepen her expertise in data protection and privacy by partnering with local & international firms to develop and implement best practices.
Barbra holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and the CIPP/E certification. Outside of her professional roles, she is passionate about business, leadership, and the arts.
