 Stella Nalwoga

International Trade Lawyer

Stella is an international trade lawyer keen on digital trade and data governance. She recently graduated from the World Trade Institute (WTI) in Bern, Switzerland, where she pursued a Master of Advanced Studies in International Law and Economics. Her Master’s thesis, ‘Setting the negotiating agenda for the AfCFTA Protocol on Electronic commerce: A legal perspective’, received the ‘Thomas Cottier’ award for best thesis for 2022. Before her studies at the WTI, Stella obtained an LL.M. in International and European Law from the Institute for European Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) in Brussels, Belgium. Stella also obtained an LL.M. in Regional Integration Law from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Stella is a qualified lawyer in Uganda and has worked as a consultant on intra-regional and intra-continental trade facilitation projects in Africa in areas of trade in goods and services and digital trade. Currently, Stella is working with FratiniVergano European Lawyers on various issues related to trade policy, including global developments concerning digital trade agreements.
