Srikanth Mangalam
Srikanth Mangalam is the Founder and President of Prism Institute, a not-for-profit collaboration platform that undertakes research and development work in the intersecting areas of risk, regulations, innovation, and sustainable development. An Engineer by qualification, Srikanth’s expertise and interests lie in analyzing and addressing risks of interconnected systems and their impacts on societal outcomes using innovative regulatory and non-regulatory tools and technological interventions. He has conducted research and co-authored publications on the use of digital technologies for regulatory and public service delivery for institutions including the World Bank, DCED and the OECD. He currently works with Professor Christopher Hodges in developing and implementing Outcome Based Collaborative Regulatory (OBCR) frameworks and systems for regulators globally in the intersecting areas of climate change, food and socio-economic security, and sustainable development. He is also a technical consultant on risk based regulatory management for the World Bank and works with policymakers and regulators in several low-income countries in Africa and Asia. In his previous role, Srikanth worked as Head of Risk with a technical safety regulator in Canada for over 15 years wherein he led in the development and implementation of innovative data and technology-driven regulatory solutions including a patented approach to risk-based inspections.
