Dickson Katto is a seasoned data expert with over a decade of experience in driving data-driven decisions and fostering data-centric culture within organisations. As the Head of Data & Commercialisation at Stanbic Bank Uganda, Dickson has been instrumental in strategically leveraging data to create new revenue streams and implement cost-saving models, significantly enhancing the bank’s financial performance. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Systems at Makerere University, Dickson also holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology and computing, and a Diploma in Computer Science from Kyambogo University. His expertise extends to robotic process automation (RPA), data integration, information system auding and the commercialization of data products. In addition to his technical skills, Dickson is a Certified SAFe 4 Practitioner, holds a CISA certification, and is a CCNA certified professional. Throughout his career, he has led numerous innovative projects and has been honoured with several awards, including the Standard Bank Group Innovations Champion. Dickson’s dedication to data excellence and innovation positions him as a valuable contributor to discussions on leveraging data for competitive advantage while balancing business needs and regulatory compliance.
