Michael Mulquin

MIMs Ambassador

Michael has spent nearly 30 years partnering with cities, rural areas, and industry on how technology can help neighbourhoods and cities work better. For the last ten years he has been focusing on the development of smart city standards, most recently as Chair of the IEC Smart Cities Systems Committee.

He works with Open and Agile Smart Cities and Communities (https://oascities.org/) to support the development and implementation of Minimal Interoperability Mechanisms (MIMs). Specifically, he heads up work on Personal Data Management, aiming to promote practical solutions to enable people to be able to easily manage data about themselves so that it can enable outcomes they want, both for themselves and their community, while not compromising on privacy.
